Sicilian Ammoglio Sauce

Ingredients
(1) jar Sal’s Creole Sicilian Sauce,
1.5 cups Flag Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Whole lemons juiced.
1 piece garlic smashed per person or 5 cloves per jar.
1 finely chopped bunch of parsley
Directions
- Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- When the oil is hot add the garlic and cook while stirring to release the flavor, until just warm about 1 minute. Do not over cook or burn.
- Gently add in 1 jar of Sal’s Creole Sicilian Sauce and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice, oregano, crushed red pepper, and 1/2 tsp salt to the pan and stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan. Simmer over low heat, stirring every so often, for about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt & freshly ground pepper to taste.
Notes
- This sauce is extremely versatile and can be used for many proteins as a marinade, or even to top your protein of choice. A few of our favorites include venison, quail, pork tenderloin, oysters ammoglio chargrilled.
