Sal and Joe Impastato were raised in Cinisi, Sicily working and cooking on a family farm. As teenagers, they left Sicily for New Orleans with generations-old family recipes and a passion to share their authentic Sicilian cuisine with America. They honed their culinary skills in some of New Orleans’ famous restaurants, including La Louisiane, Vieu Carre, Commanders Palace, Royal Orleans, Old Absinthe house and Moran’s. In the 1970s, they launched their own restaurants, Sal and Judy’s and Impastato’s. Combing Sicilian and New Orleans cuisine, always using the BEST. FRESHEST, ALL NATURAL ingredients, they now bring to you some of heir original creations they have made and used for over 40 years.
