Known simply as Chef Sal, the aspiring 18-year old left his hometown of Sicily with generations – old family recipes and a passion to share his authentic Italian cuisine with America. Sal honed has culinary skills in some of New Orleans famed restaurants before opening Sal & Judy’s in the fishing community of Lacombe over 40 years ago. Chef Sal’s creations, a fusion of traditional Sicilian flavors, robust creole spices, Louisiana seafood and fresh ingredients, have made Sal & Judy’s Restaurant a New Orleans favorite.
